summary
Since busan museum opened in 1978, it has attained its majority. For the past 27 years, we have been putting sustained efforts to discharge role of museum such as preserving and developing traditional culture based on our root. But it has not been enough to be a symbol of identity of busan and citizen's pride due to old and limited facilities. In 2002, we rebuilt and renovated busan museum by expanding and modernizing it so that it can satisfy citizen's desire to traditional culture based on collections that are secured by excavation, purchasing, donation. etc.
Collections here are invaluable materials that inform history and cultural character and detail of busan from the prehistoric period to te present. they will be used as essentials to create developmental future and right information of locality by citizen's and researcher's concern.
We will do our best to make busan museum as your place to do its functions as a hub of busan's traditonal culture and a comprehensive museum through securing and cultural and historical remains.

1. Prehistory room
(busan natural environment, busan of paleolithic age, busan of new stone age, busan of bronze ware)
The exhibit is display the prehistoric age cultural life of busan from busan heaundae paleolith remains and dongsamdong shell mound.
2. Three countries room
The exhibit is show the ancient age formation of three countries, busan culture of three countries.
3. United shila room
(life article, funeral culture, buddhism culture)
The exhibit is display museum's possession and excavated data about united shila culture.
4. Goryeo room
(manduk remains, dongpyunghyun remains, busan remains, buddhism culture)
The exhibit is display cultural condition of goryeo age.
5. Joseon room
(dongrae budonghun data, dongrae busa data, dadaepo chemsa data)
The exhibit is display administration system of joseon age.
6. Joseon room
(education data, the four precious things of the study)
The exhibit is display education activity by allak lecture hall and dongrae confucian temple and a school belonging to it.

1. Korea and japan relative room
(offical system, japanese invasion of korea in 1592, joseon commuincation, japanese office)
The exhibit is display korea and japan relative by each accident.
2. Cultural life room(industry of busan)
The exhibit is display cultural life of busan.
3. Busan folk customs room(dongrae downstream etc 15)
The exhibit is dispaly folk play of busan by each grouping
4. Modern age room
(outside power, trasfiguration of modern age, education activity, life and culture of busan)
The exhibit is show the course to modern age from japanese compulsion opening in 1876.
5. Present age room
(release in 1945, operation of US army, the korea war)
The exhibit is show the apperance of busan from release in 1945 to the korea war.
